Payments & Booking Information

At Be Kind Psychology, we understand that accessing a specialist psychological assessment is a significant commitment emotionally, practically, and financially. To ensure that assessments are provided in a planned, ethical, and sustainable way, clear payment terms apply to all bookings.

We encourage families to read the information below carefully before booking.

Fees and Payment Policy

All assessment fees are fixed and reflect the time-intensive, specialist nature of comprehensive psychological assessment. For this reason, fees and payment terms are not negotiable.

You can view and download the full Fees & Payment Policy (PDF).

Payment Structure

There is no fee to join the Be Kind Psychology waitlist.
Payment is only required once an appointment has been offered and accepted.

Booking Fee

  • A 20% booking fee is required to secure assessment appointment(s).

    • The booking fee forms part of the total assessment fee and is not an additional charge

    • It secures the appointment time reserved for your child or family

    • It reflects administrative processing and preparatory clinical work completed in advance of the assessment

    • As appointments are limited and held specifically for each family, the booking fee is non-refundable

Balance Payment

  • Two invoices are issued at the outset via Stripe:

    • One invoice for the booking fee

    • One invoice for the remaining balance

The remaining balance must be paid no later than two weeks before the assessment begins.

Assessment work cannot commence until payment has been received in full by this point.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made:

  • Online via Stripe (debit or credit card)

  • Via Stripe invoice, which also allows payment by bank transfer

Payment plans and instalment arrangements are not offered. Families may, however, choose to make bank transfers in advance at their own discretion, provided the full balance is received by the required payment date.

Important Information

  • Fees apply per individual

  • Discounts are not offered

  • Fees and payment terms are not negotiable

  • Appointments cannot be confirmed or held without payment of the booking deposit

  • These policies allow us to offer a fair, consistent service to all families and to protect the clinical time required for high-quality assessment work.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Assessment appointments involve significant preparation and the reservation of specialist clinical time.

Cancellations
If an assessment is cancelled, fees paid are non-refundable.

Illness or Unforeseen Circumstances
Where a child or adult is unwell, or an unforeseen circumstance arises, the assessment may be rescheduled, subject to availability. Fees paid remain valid for the rescheduled appointment.

Once any part of the assessment process has commenced - including interviews, record review, scoring, or testing - fees are non-refundable.

Tax Relief and Health Insurance

  • Revenue Med 1: Assessments conducted by a Chartered Clinical Psychologist may qualify as a medical expense. Receipts can be used to claim tax relief via Revenue.

  • Private Health Insurance: Some policies offer partial reimbursement for psychological assessments. Coverage varies, so families should check directly with their insurer. Supporting documentation can be provided if required.

Additional Financial Supports

Families may be eligible for supports such as:

  • Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA)

  • Disability Allowance

  • Carer’s Allowance

  • Exceptional Needs Payments

Our reports are frequently used as part of these applications, where appropriate.
