ADHD Assessments
Clear, compassionate assessments to understand attention, focus, and regulation across the lifespan.
At Be Kind Psychology, we offer expert ADHD assessments for children, teenagers, and adults across Kildare, Wicklow, Carlow, and Dublin. We provide comprehensive ADHD assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Whether you're seeking a new diagnosis or a deeper understanding of ongoing challenges, our process is neuroaffirmative, evidence-based, and designed to offer meaningful clarity and support.
Our ADHD assessments explore the individual’s profile across home, school, and work settings. We carefully assess symptoms of inattention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and executive functioning, while also screening for co-occurring presentations that may affect diagnosis.
Each ADHD assessment includes:
Clinical interview with the individual (and parents/carers for younger clients)
Developmental and psychosocial history
Behavioural rating scales: Conners 4 (parent, teacher, or self-report)
Screening for co-occurring conditions (e.g. anxiety, autism, trauma)
Cognitive screening if clinically indicated
Review of school or occupational reports (if available)
Comprehensive written report with diagnostic conclusions and recommendations
Feedback session to explain findings and discuss next steps
Qb ADHD Testing
We also offer QbTest and QbCheck – evidence-based, computerised assessments that measure attention, impulsivity, and activity levels. These tools provide objective data to support the diagnosis and management of ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults.
Qb assessments are quick, non-invasive, and clinically validated. They are used alongside clinical interviews, rating scales (e.g. Conners-4), and school feedback to build a clear, accurate picture of attention-related strengths and difficulties.
When to consider an ADHD assessment:
An ADHD assessment may be appropriate when an individual is experiencing:
Persistent difficulties with attention, focus, organisation, or task completion
High levels of restlessness, impulsivity, or emotional reactivity
Lifelong challenges at school, work, or in relationships
Challenges that began in childhood and continue to impact daily life
Need for clarity to access supports or accommodations
